Specially designed for use with Vimar™ brand and Vimar Eikon® mounting boxes, frames, and cover plates, the Cameo® C2N-CBV-P keypads offer a custom control solution for yachts and other installations.
Vimar Mounting
The C2N-CBV-P Series keypads are designed to fit Vimar and Vimar Eikon brand mounting boxes, frames, and cover plates.[1] Italian manufacturer Vimar offers a range of designer faceplates and mounting solutions that are popular for use in the marine market. Whether on a yacht or in a home or business on land, the C2N-CBV-P Series facilitates customizable control of lighting, audio, video, and other systems as part of a complete Crestron® system.
Customizable Buttons
Installers can easily configure the C2N-CBV-P Series keypads with up to eight buttons. Each keypad is furnished with five “small” button caps plus two pairs of “split” button caps. The split buttons can be installed in either of the last two positions. “Medium” and “large” button caps are also available separately. All button sizes may be ordered with custom backlit engraving.[2]
Through programming, each button can be configured to use “button events,” affording up to three separate functions per button by tapping, double-tapping, or holding the button. “Shift key” functionality is even possible, allowing any button to be held while pressing another.
Auto-dimming Backlight
High-quality backlit laser-engraving[2] provides customizable button text that’s easy to read under any lighting condition. A built-in light sensor controls the backlight intensity automatically to achieve a crisp, legible appearance in both darkened and fully lit rooms.
Enhanced LED Feedback
Six pinhead-sized white LEDs afford fully customizable feedback to show the status of each button. Ten blink patterns are built in, enabling blinking LED feedback with simplified programming and reduced traffic on the Cresnet® network. Onboard bargraph logic allows the feedback LEDs to function as a 6-segment bargraph display, providing clear level indication while adjusting lighting and audio settings. Auto-dimming LED intensity ensures optimal visibility under varying lighting conditions.
Ambient Light Sensor
In addition to controlling the backlight and LED intensity, the built-in light sensor can also be utilized by the control system to support basic daylight harvesting and other programmatic functions.
Control Ports
Dual digital/analog input ports onboard the keypad provide a local interface for a range of devices including Crestron GLS Occupancy Sensors and Photocells, or any device providing a contact closure, DC logic, or 0-10VDC analog voltage. Using the control ports, it’s possible to add monitoring of room occupancy, ambient light level, door closures, and other conditions without having to home run extra wiring to the central equipment location.
Cresnet
The C2N-CBV-P Series uses the dependable Cresnet wired network for communication between devices. Cresnet provides a simple solution for configuring and wiring keypads and sensors as part of any complete Crestron system. Cresnet is the communications backbone for Crestron lighting dimmers, keypads, shades, thermostats, and many other devices. This flexible 4-wire bus provides data communications and 24 Volts DC power for all of the devices on the Cresnet network.
