It also eliminates any possibility of a pick and bump break in. Its sleek, low-profile design affords an attractive appearance, with a choice of three elegant designer finishes.
Yale® has been securing homes since 1846, and is regarded as one of the world’s best brands in the lock industry. Crestron has partnered with Yale to offer a full range of wirelessly integrated door lock solutions for homes and businesses. The Yale Assure Lock SL deadbolt is ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certified to assure strength and durability for the safety of your home and family.
Featuring infiNET EX® wireless communications [1], the Yale Assure Lock SL deadbolt integrates with a Crestron home automation system to enable secure remote monitoring and control via Crestron touch screens, personal computers, and mobile devices. Fully-managed access control is available through the Crestron system and the MyCrestron Residential Monitoring Service , allowing homeowners to selectively restrict or grant access to individual family members and guests, as well as cleaning, pet care, and maintenance workers. Using a unique PIN code for each person, a text or email notification can be sent, and the date and time can be logged, when any authorized individual uses their PIN code, of if an unauthorized PIN code is entered. Individual access rights can also be restricted to specific time periods through scheduling.[2]
Crestron system integration also enables interaction with lighting, shading, climate control, video surveillance, and security systems to automatically turn lights on, open or close window shades, adjust thermostats, activate cameras, and disarm the alarm as someone enters the home. A doorbell and video intercom can also be integrated to allow the homeowner to communicate with visitors using a Crestron touch screen or smartphone, whether at home or away, and unlock the door for them if desired. For homes with multiple entrances, locking a single door can automatically lock every door equipped with a Crestron connected Yale lock.[2]
Simple Installation
Upgrading an existing deadbolt lock to enable remote control and key-free access is easy. The Yale Assure Lock SL deadbolt installs in place of a standard deadbolt without any modification to the door, and no wiring required. It fits a standard exterior door with a thickness of 1-3/8 to 2-1/4 inches (35 to 57 mm).
PIN Code Access
Locking or unlocking the deadbolt is easily accomplished by entering a 4-8 digit PIN code. Up to 250 unique user PIN codes are supported, including a Master PIN which can be used to access menu options and configure the lock. An optional “One-Touch Locking” feature allows for locking the deadbolt without a PIN code by simply tapping the touchscreen with three fingers. The deadbolt can also be operated with a thumbturn from the inside.
Privacy Mode
A “privacy button” is provided on the interior escutcheon, which can be enabled through setup to support Privacy Mode. Privacy Mode is activated by pressing and holding the button for four seconds, which disables all PIN codes to prohibit anyone from unlocking the deadbolt from the outside.
Lockout Mode
Lockout Mode can be activated at any time using the Master PIN to disable all PIN codes except for the Master PIN.
Automatic Re-lock
When enabled, this feature automatically re-locks the deadbolt 30 seconds after it is unlocked using a PIN code. The automatic re-lock time can alternately be set to one, two, or three minutes.
Tamper Prevention
If someone forcibly tampers with the lock, an alarm sounds through the built-in speaker. Additionally, the control system can trigger an alarm through the home security system, and an alert notification can be sent to the homeowner’s mobile phone.[2]
infiNET EX® Wireless Technology
Ultra-reliable infiNET EX wireless technology provides steadfast two-way RF communications throughout a residential or commercial structure without the need for physical control wiring. The Yale Assure Lock SL deadbolt communicates with a Crestron control system via an infiNET EX wireless gateway, and can function as part of a complete network of wireless locks, lighting dimmers, motorized shades, thermostats, keypads, handheld remotes, and other devices.[1]
9V Battery Power Backup
In the event the internal batteries become too weak to operate the lock, operation may be temporarily restored by holding a standard 9 volt battery across a pair of terminals positioned just below the keypad. Such conditions are ordinarily prevented by replacing the internal batteries when a low battery condition is signaled via a Crestron touch screen, email or text notification, or the flashing low battery indicator on the lock itself.[2]
